TSU History
The Tennessee State University Chapter was founded
in 1981 by Dr. Marcus Shute, who is currently the Dean of Research at the University. His vision was to introduce Tennessee
State University Engineering Department to an organization that is changing lives.
VISION
“To
create a new world full of professionals who impact the world of today and tomorrow.” For the 2006-2007 school year,
we envision the Tennessee State University Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers to exceed all expectations of
the National mission statement. In order to accomplish this, membership commitment will be questioned and tested. With this,
a suspected increase in activities, leadership, and professionalism will be underway. The TSU NSBE Chapter will continue to
educate and teach the communities of the world about strength and integrity.
